Australian Lucas Herington, Hull City defender, is attracting interest from several top European clubs after his impressive start in the Premier League, with FC Barcelona continuing to monitor the development of the 19-year-old player.

TEAMtalk has reported that the Catalan club has shown great admiration for Herington's levels since his transfer to England, after their scouts previously made a positive assessment of his potential.

The defender joined Hull City last summer from Colorado Rapids for £17 million, a record deal for the club, after moving to the American team in January from Brisbane Roar.

On the international stage, Herington received his first call-up to the senior Australia national team this year, then started against Paraguay in the FIFA World Cup, becoming the youngest player in his country's history to start a match in the tournament.

The interest in him is not limited to FC Barcelona, as Liverpool, Manchester United, Everton, and Newcastle have previously monitored his situation, along with Chelsea and Manchester City. Bayern Munich and RB Leipzig have also been keeping an eye on him during the current season.

Despite increasing interest in the Australian defender, there are no indications that Hull City or the player are considering a move in January, especially after a short period since his record transfer to the team.
