FC Barcelona host Deportivo Alavés tomorrow, Saturday, at Spotify Camp Nou in LaLiga, looking to return to winning ways after defeats to Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid, while maintaining their lead in the competition.

Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo" reported that FC Barcelona have achieved 7 wins and 1 draw in their last 8 encounters against Deportivo Alavés at home, since their last defeat to the Basque team in 2016.

Hans Flick's team aims to capitalize on their positive record to regain balance, having collected 27 points out of a possible 30 in the league, but they are facing defensive difficulties due to the absence of Jules Koundé, Eric Garcia, Andreas Christensen, and Xavi Espart.

Meanwhile, Deportivo Alavés sit in seventh place, but they have not achieved any victory in their last six matches, managing only two points from a possible 18, and they hope to end their negative streak against FC Barcelona.

The last encounter between the two teams ended with Deportivo Alavés winning 1-0 in May, at the Mendizorrotza Stadium, after FC Barcelona played the match just hours after being crowned champions of LaLiga, with Flick relying on a rotation policy.

Barcelona hope Saturday's match will mark a fresh start to regain their winning ways and maintain their lead in LaLiga, while Alavés aim to replicate their success and achieve a positive result.
