Araujo's agent: Player happy to play at Anfield, talk of his future is premature
Speculation is growing regarding Ronald Araújo's future, with the FC Barcelona defender on loan at Liverpool until the end of the season. His performances with the English side have been impressive, and Liverpool have the option to sign him permanently for €55 million.
Eduardo Kurnhacar, the agent of the Uruguayan defender, spoke about his future in statements to "Win Win All Sports", confirming the player's happiness with his current experience. However, he pointed out that it is still early to determine what will happen after the end of the loan.
Krnchar said: "Ronald is fine with Liverpool, and we are very happy, but it is still too early to talk about his future."
He added: "He feels very good and is happy to play with Liverpool, and he is also pleased to help the club and his teammates, as he has previously stated himself."
Araujo, 27, decided to leave FC Barcelona last summer in search of regaining his level and confidence. He has succeeded in delivering impressive performances while wearing the Liverpool shirt, where he has enjoyed the trust of his Spanish coach Andoni Iraola since the start of the season.
The Uruguayan defender's standout performance against Brighton has solidified his position, recording a top speed of 36.3 kilometers per hour. He made a rapid sprint and achieved a perfect success rate in the five tackles he engaged in, also earning the Man of the Match award and the Player of the Round accolade.
Araujo has played 13 matches with Liverpool in all competitions this season, totaling 872 minutes, during which he scored two goals and provided one assist. He participated in 8 matches as a right-back, compared to 5 matches in central defense.
