After defeats to Paris and Real Madrid, Barcelona players meet to strengthen their unity
Barcelona players organized a group lunch at the Joan Gamper Sports City, with coach Hans Flick and the coaching staff, to strengthen team unity ahead of upcoming matches, according to the Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo".
The initiative came after defeats to Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid, although the atmosphere in the dressing room remains good. Team leaders, including Raphinha and Rodri, organized a meeting that took place after the morning training session and lasted for an hour and a half.
Barcelona players have previously organized similar meetings, especially during Lionel Messi's era, to overcome tough periods, although they are usually held in restaurants preferred by the players or in private residential complexes.
The team is preparing to face Alavés on October 31, followed by Aston Villa on November 3 at Spotify Camp Nou, before traveling to meet Atlético on November 8.
The Spanish newspaper reported that Barcelona players are striving to quickly overcome the effects of two defeats, especially after reports of disagreements regarding the way back following the Sevilla match, and ahead of their clash with Paris Saint-Germain.
