Landucci: Winning against Monza is important and we are working on fixing our defensive errors

Marco Landucci, Napoli's assistant coach, emphasized the importance of the 4-1 victory over Monza in Serie A, noting that the team regained confidence after achieving an important away win.

Landozzi said in statements to "Sky Sport": "It was a very important match, and in the second half, the team's performance improved, as the goal at the beginning of the match gave us confidence. It was essential to achieve the victory, and now we are preparing for the next match."

He added: "In the past, they criticized Allegri because the team won by a single goal, and now they criticize us because we concede too many goals. We know we need to avoid defensive mistakes, and we are working to address this issue, but we are very happy with what we are delivering."

He continued: "When we regained Scott McTominay and Frank Anguissa, the team's performance improved, as matches are decided in midfield. The busy fixture schedule makes things difficult, especially with consecutive matches, but we have a strong team and we want to keep fighting and achieve positive results."

Landozzi concluded his remarks by stressing the importance of the victory from a morale standpoint, explaining that the team is looking to continue their positive results in the upcoming match as they seek to improve their position in the Serie A table.
