Napoli coach: We must work quietly and improve our position in the table
Massimiliano Allegri, the head coach of SSC Napoli, spoke about his team's preparations for the upcoming match against AC Monza, set for Wednesday, October 28, as part of the ninth round of Serie A. He emphasized the need to correct mistakes and improve results in the coming period.
Massimiliano Allegri said regarding the recent draw against AS Roma: "What I regret the most is that we were unable to secure all three points despite putting in a good performance. We could have managed possession better, especially when we were leading by two goals to nil."
Napoli's coach added: "We are behind in the standings, and we need to work to improve our position and correct some issues we are currently facing. Things may change in a month, but we must continue to work and improve our performance."
Allegri discussed the physical condition of his players, highlighting the team's struggles with significant absences recently, including Scott McTominay and Frank Anguissa, as well as Alisson Santos and David Neres missing out on participation during certain periods, in addition to recent injuries.
Massimiliano Allegri concluded his remarks by stressing the importance of improving defensive balance, explaining that the team conceded a large number of goals in the second half, which requires more focus and teamwork before facing AC Monza.
