SSC Napoli monitor Brazilian goalkeeper Otávio amid European competition for his signature
SSC Napoli have joined the list of clubs interested in signing young Brazilian goalkeeper Otávio from Cruzeiro, as European interest in his abilities has grown following the performances he has delivered with his team.
According to journalist Ikram Konor, SSC Napoli are closely monitoring the development of the 20-year-old goalkeeper amid interest from several European clubs looking to take advantage of his talent in the upcoming period.
The interest is not limited to the Italian club, as both FC Porto and Borussia Dortmund, along with Tottenham and Nottingham Forest, are following the progress of the Brazilian goalkeeper, whose stock has risen after impressive performances with Cruzeiro.
Despite increasing interest in the player, no new official offer has been made by SSC Napoli yet, while Cruzeiro is holding on to the goalkeeper's contract, which runs until 2031, making the completion of the deal dependent on reaching a suitable financial agreement between the parties involved.
