AFC Bournemouth prepares new record offer to renew Alex Scott's contract
AFC Bournemouth are preparing to make a new offer to renew midfielder Alex Scott's contract, despite him rejecting the previous offer that would have made him the highest-paid player in the club's history, according to TEAMtalk.
Bournemouth owner Bill Foley is keen to keep the 23-year-old player despite interest from Liverpool and Chelsea, with Arsenal and Tottenham also showing interest in the player, who is contracted to Bournemouth until 2028.
Chelsea have previously made an offer to sign Alex Scott last summer and are planning a new attempt before January, while Iraola wants him to move to Liverpool.
The report indicated that AFC Bournemouth may agree to let the player leave in January for a fee of at least £100 million.
Foley has confirmed in statements to "TalkSport" that the club has not given up on trying to convince Alex Scott to renew his contract, while coach Marco Rose is monitoring the situation, as he wishes not to part with key players during the winter transfer window.
