Mourinho returns to Camp Nou with negative stats

José Mourinho, the manager of Real Madrid, returns to Camp Nou to face FC Barcelona today, Sunday, after a 13-year absence from coaching the visiting team at a stadium that has seen varied moments in his career.

According to the Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo", Mourinho has managed 13 matches at Camp Nou as a visiting coach, achieving only two victories, alongside four draws and seven defeats. He is looking to improve his record in the upcoming clásico.

His last visit was in April 2013, when Real Madrid lost to FC Barcelona, managed by Pep Guardiola, in the UEFA Champions League semi-finals. Since then, Mourinho has managed Chelsea, Manchester United, Tottenham, Roma, Fenerbahçe, and Benfica, without returning to Camp Nou to face FC Barcelona.

Jose Mourinho previously worked at FC Barcelona, serving as an assistant to Bobby Robson and translator in 1996. He then worked within Louis van Gaal's coaching staff until 2000, before his relationship with Barcelona changed as he embarked on his independent coaching career, particularly during his time with Real Madrid.

Today's match has a different character as Mourinho faces FC Barcelona led by Hans Flick instead of Guardiola, who has been linked to a prominent rivalry with Mourinho in recent years.
