Olympique Lyon are preparing to move during the upcoming winter transfer window to sign a new striker, following injuries to both Loïs Openda and Pavel Sołek, according to French media reports.

Radio Monte Carlo has revealed that Brazilian Endrick, forward for Real Madrid, is at the top of the list of candidates to strengthen the attack for the French team, given the performances he delivered during his previous stint with Olympique Lyon.

Endrick has previously joined Olympique Lyon on loan from Real Madrid, and he has managed to leave a clear mark in the team's shirt, having played 21 matches in which he scored 8 goals and provided 8 assists, enhancing his prospects as a potential option to strengthen the attack.

Paulo Fonseca, the manager of Olympique Lyon, spoke about the possibility of signing a new striker during the press conference ahead of the match against Paris Saint-Germain, saying: "We have spoken with Matthieu Louis-Jean, the sporting director, and we will see how the situation with Openda and Solke develops."

He added: "There may be a chance to sign a striker, as they only have Rémi Himbert and Alejandro Gomes Rodríguez as outright forwards."

Lyon are set to face Paris Saint-Germain in a postponed match from the French league, after it was decided to move it from its original date due to the protests taking place in France.

Lyon are currently second in the French league table, level on points with Paris Saint-Germain, but the French team leads on goal difference, according to information in the report.
