Lazio secure Romano Floriani Mussolini with new contract until 2030
Lazio are close to renewing the contract of young defender Romano Floriani Mussolini until the summer of 2030, having reached an agreement to extend his association with the club, according to Italian newspaper "Corriere dello Sport."
According to reports, the new contract will see a substantial rise in the player's salary, which will increase from around €150,000 to nearly €600,000 net per season, meaning four times his current salary.
Lazio's move came after the levels shown by Floriani Mussolini, who is 23 years old, as he managed to earn the trust of coach Gennaro Gattuso and became one of the key options for the team on the right flank, benefiting from the absence of Adam Marušić due to injury.
Despite reaching an agreement on the financial details and the duration of the contract, reports indicate that the official signing is expected during the next week, following an anticipated meeting between Lazio's management and the player's representatives, paving the way for the official announcement of the renewal.
