Spalletti: Juventus lacked control and ideas
Luciano Spalletti, the head coach of Juventus, expressed his dissatisfaction with his team's performance following the heavy loss to SS Lazio by three goals to nil in Turin, confirming that the Bianconeri did not show the required level and lacked control and ideas during the match.
Luciano Spalletti said after the match: "Today, Juventus' performance was below that of Lazio, and we lacked control and ideas," pointing out that the team did not deliver the expected performance, especially after the level they showed in their previous match against Celta de Vigo.
The Italian coach added: "It's hard to explain that, we didn't deliver anything similar to Thursday's match. We returned from Vigo at 4:30 AM," referring to the impact of the European trip on the team's preparations for the domestic clash.
Spalletti concluded his remarks by explaining that he made six changes to the starting lineup, but did not get the response he needed on the pitch, saying: "I introduced six new players, but we were slow in movement and focus."
This loss puts the coaching staff in a position to address the mistakes that appeared in performance and regain balance before upcoming commitments.
