El Shenawy to guard Al Ahly's goal against Kitarra

The newspaper "Youm7" revealed that Moroccan coach Al-Hussein Amouta of Al Ahly FC has decided to include Mohamed El Shenawy to guard the goal for Al Ahly in the upcoming match against Ugandan side Kitarra in the CAF Confederation Cup.

Al Ahly FC will face Kitara next Sunday at Cairo International Stadium in the second leg of the CAF Confederation Cup round of 32.

The newspaper reported that Amouta's decision came in accordance with the rotation policy followed by the Moroccan coach, as he grants Mohamed El Shenawy the opportunity to participate in CAF Confederation Cup matches, while relying on Mostafa Shobair in Egyptian Premier League matches, at the same time that Hamza Alaa participates in the Cairo Capital Cup competitions.

The aim of this approach is to keep the three goalkeepers in top technical and physical readiness, in anticipation of calling upon them at any moment. This step comes as a necessity to face the busy match schedule and the consecutive commitments in various competitions that Al Ahly FC is participating in this year.
