Officially: Al Ahly imposes doubled financial penalties on players

Al Ahly FC has officially announced doubled financial penalties for its players after drawing with Qanah FC yesterday in the Egyptian League.

The positive draw ended 3-3 in the match between Al Ahly FC and Qanah FC on Wednesday evening at Cairo International Stadium during the seventh round of the Egyptian League.

Al Ahly FC stated in an official statement: "Captain Wael Gomaa, the football director, has decided to impose doubled financial penalties on the players after yesterday's match."

Al Ahly FC added in a statement: "Wael Gomaa held an extensive meeting with the team this morning in the presence of head coach Al-Hussein Amouta, and clarified the issues regarding the performance of several players who are far from their technical and physical levels for unknown reasons."

Al Ahly FC's statement concluded: "Wael Gomaa confirmed that the upcoming period cannot tolerate any shortcomings from any individual, and everyone must review their contributions, and Al Ahly will not rely on any player."
