Mido criticises decision to suspend Al Ahly players' payments

Ahmed Hossam 'Mido', former Zamalek star, has criticized Al Ahly for their decision to suspend the players' dues following the draw against Al Qanah in the Premier League.

Al Ahly drew with Al Qana 3-3 in the seventh round of the Egyptian Premier League.

Ahmad Hossam Mido wrote on his official account on "X": "Al Ahly have decided to suspend player payments!! This punishment does not exist anywhere in the world except in Egypt!! The question is why are the coaching staff's payments not suspended? They share responsibility with the players for the poor level that Al Ahly has shown in most of their matches since the start of the season."

By drawing against Al Qanah, Al Ahly have raised their tally to 17 points in second place in the table, four points behind leaders Pyramids, having played 7 matches, winning 5 and drawing 2.
