Mohammad Fazal: Al Ahly FC need a coach with great potential

Mohammad Fazal has confirmed that Al Ahly FC's ongoing ambitions to win all titles require the hiring of a coach with specific qualities. He pointed out that the nature of the Red Castle's goals always demands a strong technical personality capable of adapting to the team's identity and ensuring the continuation of their trophy-winning journey.

Mohammad Fazal stated, via "On Sport" channel, that if he were asked about his opinion on Amouta before he took over as coach of Al Ahly FC, his response would have been a refusal. He explained that the club needs a coach with great capabilities who fits the nature of the team, rather than hiring a manager and betting on his success.

He explained that Al Ahly FC's strategy in monopolizing trophy platforms imposes precise standards in selecting its technical staff. He talked about the experience of signing South African Pitso Mosimane, where the management aimed to fill the gap of missing the continental title, and his recruitment came in response to an urgent desire to regain the CAF Champions League throne after a long period of absence from winning the tournament.

Mohammad Fazal pointed out that Mosimane was delivering good football with Mamelodi Sundowns, making him a suitable choice to lead Al Ahly FC at that stage.
