Despite workers' strike, Real Madrid vs FC Barcelona clásico will go ahead as planned

The workers' strike at FC Barcelona will not affect the upcoming El Clásico against Real Madrid, scheduled for next Sunday at Spotify Camp Nou. Sources within the club have confirmed that the match will go ahead as planned, according to the Spanish news agency "EFE".

This comes despite the failure to reach an agreement during the settlement session held on Thursday at the labor court in Catalonia, meaning the strike will continue from midnight on October 23 until 6 AM on October 26.

The strike involves around 60 employees who are calling for improved working conditions due to what they perceive as a decline in their professional circumstances and the lack of sufficient staff to cover the logistical tasks associated with organizing sporting events at the club's facilities.

The same source reported that FC Barcelona has the organizational capacity needed to ensure that professional teams and youth teams can hold their matches normally during the weekend, without resorting to replacing striking workers in unlawful ways.

The fixture list affected by the strike includes the clásico, with FC Barcelona Femeni facing Granada on Saturday. Meanwhile, the handball team will meet Rebi Cuenca on Friday, while the basketball team takes on Casademont Zaragoza on Saturday.
