Silva: Happy to score my first goal with Real Madrid, and the Clasico is a very important match

The Portuguese Bernardo Silva, a player for Real Madrid, expressed his happiness at the 4-1 victory over Leipzig in the Champions League, scoring his first goal in the royal team's shirt. He confirmed that the team continues to develop since the beginning of the season and that he aims to reach his best levels to compete for titles in the coming months.

Bernardo Silva spoke to Movistar about the win and scoring his first goal: "I am very happy to achieve victory in this match and to score my first goal in this shirt. Thibaut Courtois was very important for us in the first half, and in the second half we managed to control the match better."

Regarding the importance of the match in boosting the team's confidence, he explained: "Yes, it was important to ensure that the team still has confidence and continues to improve. We have been developing since the start of the season, and we must continue to improve from match to match, so that in three or four months we are in a position to compete for titles, which is what this club wants."

The Portuguese player spoke about the requirements of playing in midfield, saying: "It doesn't matter who plays in this position. We are a team with very strong players in individual duels, who love to dribble and advance with the ball. We need to find the balance between possession, providing fluid football, and playing direct. We should not be a boring team, but a team that is lively and aggressive. Achieving this balance is difficult, but we must be ready to deliver our best."

Regarding José Mourinho's praise and his deserving of a starting role, Bernardo Silva confirmed: "I continue to work to help this club, whether I play five minutes or 90 minutes. On the day the coach feels he needs me, I will be ready."

Bernardo Silva concluded his remarks by discussing the match against FC Barcelona in El Clásico, saying: "It is an important match, and we are six points behind. Of course, it is a different and very important match for us, and we have to approach it with a strong desire to perform well."
