Club Brugge have rejected the idea of letting Nicolò Tresoldi leave during the upcoming winter transfer window, despite interest from Arsenal and several top European clubs in the young German forward, according to TEAMtalk.

The site clarified that Club Brugge are preparing to demand over €40 million for the departure of the player, in a deal that could surpass the club's record transfer fee, which was the transfer of Christos Tzolis to Arsenal for €40 million during the summer.

Arsenal have identified Nicolò Tresoldi, 21, as a potential replacement for Viktor Gyökeres, but Club Brugge's stance may force the London club to wait until the summer. There is interest from Manchester United, Tottenham, Chelsea, and Manchester City, alongside FC Barcelona, Atlético, Bayern Munich, and Borussia Dortmund.

Nicolò Tresoldi has scored 19 goals in the Belgian Pro League last season and netted eight goals in his first ten matches this season, including a hat-trick against Inter in the UEFA Champions League.

A source from Club Brugge has confirmed that the club is keen to retain the player until the end of the season, while the player is preparing for strong competition for his services next summer.
