Havertz draws inspiration from Harry Kane ahead of Arsenal vs Bayern Munich clash

The British newspaper "Daily Mail" highlighted Kai Havertz's admiration for Harry Kane, the Bayern Munich striker, ahead of the anticipated clash between the two teams in the UEFA Champions League, scheduled for Wednesday evening.

The mention of Kane comes in light of the status he has achieved among the top strikers in European football, having continued to deliver impressive performances while wearing the Bayern Munich shirt, which he joined in 2023 after a long career with Tottenham.

Kai Havertz has previously spoken about Harry Kane when discussing the evolution of the centre-forward position in modern football, emphasizing that the role of the striker is no longer limited to positioning inside the penalty area and waiting for passes, but requires participation in build-up play, movement, and chance creation, citing Kane as an example of this.

Kai Havertz stated in previous comments reported by the German network "Sport 1": "Even Harry Kane is not a traditional striker for me. He has a great ability to finish attacks, but he doesn't just stand in front of the penalty area waiting for the ball."

The German striker added at the time that he sees football has developed significantly in recent years, noting that the requirements for the striker position have become more diverse than just scoring goals.

The upcoming clash gains additional significance with Harry Kane at Bayern Munich and Kai Havertz at Arsenal, as both teams aim to enhance their chances in the UEFA Champions League.
