Kovač: Dortmund deserved to win and we could have won by four goals

Niko Kovač, the head coach of Borussia Dortmund, expressed his satisfaction with his team's attacking performance following their 2-1 victory over Sabah of Azerbaijan, stating that his team could have secured the match by a larger margin had they not squandered several chances.

Niko Kovač said: "We played a very good attacking game today and created a lot of chances. If we had taken just half of these chances, we would have definitely won by three or four goals."

Borussia Dortmund's coach added: "We made some simple mistakes from time to time, which allowed our opponent to get back into the game. The victory was the result of hard work, but it was completely deserved."

Borussia Dortmund secured a victory thanks to goals from Serhou Guirassy, earning three important points in their Champions League campaign. Niko Kovač acknowledged the need to improve opportunity conversion and avoid mistakes that give opponents a chance to come back into matches.
