Borussia Dortmund beat Sabah with a brace from Nguette and boosts its chances in UEFA Champions League

Borussia Dortmund secured a 2-1 victory against their hosts Sabah in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday evening, in a match that was part of the third round of the group stage.

Serhou Guirassy starred in the match, scoring both goals for Borussia Dortmund in the 10th and 53rd minutes, while Aden McCarthy netted the only goal for the morning side in the 39th minute, securing the German team a crucial three points in their European campaign.

Borussia Dortmund enters the match after a 3-2 victory over Villarreal, and a loss to Bodo/Glimt by a goal to nil. Meanwhile, Manchester United began their European campaign with a heavy 4-0 defeat, before securing a win against Slavia Prague with a score of two goals to nil.

With this result, Borussia Dortmund has raised its tally to six points from three matches, having achieved its second victory in the league stage, while Sabah remains on three points after suffering its second defeat.

Borussia Dortmund currently sits in 10th place, while Manchester United is in 23rd place, awaiting the completion of the round's matches.
