Olympique Marseille secured a big win against Angers with a score of 5-2 on Sunday, marking their second consecutive victory in Ligue 1. This result temporarily lifts them into the top ten.

Marseille started the match poorly, struggling against the hosts during the first 35 minutes, before gradually regaining their balance. Himad Abdelli opened the scoring for Marseille in the 37th minute with a powerful header, benefiting from a cross sent by American Timothy Weah, before young Nohaum Kamisoko equalized in the 43rd minute, scoring his first professional goal in Ligue 1 at the age of 21.

In the second half, Marseille imposed their superiority, with Amine Gouiri adding the second goal in the 60th minute from a penalty, after his shot was saved by goalkeeper Anthony Lopes. Amine Aouazani reduced the deficit for Angers in the 75th minute from a penalty, but Marseille sealed the match in the closing minutes, with Amine Harit scoring the fourth goal in the 83rd minute, and Igor Paixão adding the fifth goal two minutes later.

This victory comes after Marseille's 2-0 win over Troyes in the previous round, marking the team's second consecutive win in Ligue 1, following their first victory in the competition on August 21.

Despite losing to Olympiacos 1-0 in the UEFA Europa League last Thursday, the team managed to regain their balance domestically, moving ahead of Angers in the standings and temporarily entering the top ten, with four matches remaining in the round.
