Marisca: We deserved a better result, and we must continue our journey

Enzo Maresca, the head coach of Manchester City, expressed his belief that his team deserved a better result against Paris Saint-Germain, despite the 4-2 loss. He noted the improvement in performance during the second half and emphasized the need to maintain balance during attacking pressure.

Mariska said: "I think we started the match well until we scored the first goal, then we conceded the second goal just one minute later, which left us feeling bad. We were much better in the second half, and perhaps we deserved a better result."

He added: "It was a bit strange, to be honest, until we scored the first goal. We started the match well and were in the game, then we conceded the first goal and then the second. We didn’t give up in the first half; instead, we made some adjustments and created enough chances to deserve a better result."

He continued: "We made some adjustments to our pressing style, and I think we lost some balance."

He continued: "Even when we were three goals down in the first half, the number of chances we created in the second half means we deserved a better result."

He added: "You have to be decisive in front of goal, but without losing your balance."

Manchester City manager sent a message to the fans, saying: "We definitely apologise for our first-half performance, we have a Premier League match on Saturday, and we must continue our journey."
