Haaland sets two records in the Champions League
Erling Haaland, the star of Manchester City, continues to break records in the Champions League after scoring two goals during the match against Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday evening, in the second round of the group stage of the tournament.
Erling Haaland scored Manchester City's first goal in the 53rd minute after the English side trailed 3-0 at half-time, bringing the Norwegian striker to his 60th goal in the UEFA Champions League, before netting his second in the 75th minute.
Erling Haaland has become the fastest player to reach 60 goals in the history of the competition, having needed only 60 matches to achieve this feat, compared to 80 matches for Argentine star Lionel Messi, which is 20 matches fewer.
Erling Haaland has taken the lead in Manchester City's all-time scoring chart in the UEFA Champions League, surpassing Argentine Sergio Agüero, who scored 36 goals in the competition, compared to 38 goals for the Norwegian striker at that time.
Erling Haaland is also chasing Mohamed Salah, the former Liverpool star, in the list of the top goal scorers with English clubs in the UEFA Champions League, as the Egyptian star has a tally of 47 goals.
