Luis Enrique matches Claude Puel's record in UEFA Champions League

Spanish coach Luis Enrique, the manager of Paris Saint-Germain, has equalled the record of Frenchman Claude Puel by overseeing 48 matches in the UEFA Champions League at the helm of a French team.

Luis Enrique matched this number during Paris Saint-Germain's encounter with Manchester City, reaching the same number of matches that Buel has managed in the competition with French clubs.

Claude Puel has previously managed AS Monaco, Lille, and Lyon, while Luis Enrique has been in charge of Paris Saint-Germain since 2023.

Enrique is on the verge of breaking the record for the most matches managed in the UEFA Champions League by a French coach with French clubs.
