Shobeir comments on Mahmoud Salah's exclusion from the summit match
Ahmed Shobair, former goalkeeper of Al Ahly FC and the Egypt national team, commented on the absence of Mahmoud Salah, the young Al Ahly FC player and Egypt international, from the squad for the derby match against Zamalek SC.
Ahmad Shobair stated in radio comments: "Amouta excluded Mahmoud Salah from the squad for the big match, and I asked if Mahmoud Salah is not ready, and they told me no, the boy is ready. So I asked if he is injured, and they said no, the boy is fine, so I don't know what that means."
Shobeir continued: "Mahmoud Salah's exclusion is a technical viewpoint from Lamouta, and the boy is fit and ready, but because he played with the youth national team recently, it should be all the more reason for him to be included."
Shobeir explained: "I express my artistic admiration for Mahmoud Salah, a great football player, but I tell him, look Mahmoud, you could be one of the best players in Egypt, but you need to keep your head straight and do the right thing, and this boy could be the future of football in Egypt."
Shobeir added: "In the upcoming period, if Mahmoud Salah gets his opportunity, he will break through. He is no less than Hamza Abdelkarim, but I hope his mindset matches his talent; culture makes a huge difference for football players."
