Referee for FC Barcelona vs Getafe in LaLiga

The Spanish referee Jesús Gil Manzano has been appointed to officiate the match between FC Barcelona and Getafe, scheduled for Saturday at Spotify Camp Nou, as part of LaLiga, at 7:30 PM Cairo time.

According to the Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo", Daniel Trujillo will take on the role of Video Assistant Referee, having held the same position in the recent Atlético vs Real Madrid match, which ended in a 2-0 victory for Atlético.

The match will mark the first appearance of Gil Manzano officiating a Barcelona game this season, and it will be his fourth in LaLiga. He has previously officiated 45 matches for the Catalan team in the competition, during which Barcelona achieved 28 victories, eight draws, and nine defeats.

Barcelona's last match officiated by him ended in a 2-1 loss against Real Sociedad in January, while his last match at the Catalan team's stadium saw coach Hans Flick sent off against Girona a year ago.

Getafe have had 19 matches officiated by Manzano in LaLiga, with five wins, three draws, and 11 losses. The Spanish referee has previously officiated two matches between the teams, both of which ended in victories for FC Barcelona by a score of 2-0, one in September 2019 and the other in the second leg of the Round of 16 of the Copa del Rey in the 2013/2014 season.
