Arsenal prepare to extend Kai Havertz's contract
Arsenal are looking to extend the contract of their German forward Kai Havertz, as the club's management is pleased with the levels the player is showing with the team at present.
According to Italian journalist Nicolo Schira, Arsenal's management may start discussions with Havertz in the coming period to agree on extending his contract with the London club.
Kai Havertz has scored two goals in five matches in the Premier League, securing his place as a striker in manager Mikel Arteta's lineup.
The 27-year-old German forward is contracted to Arsenal until June 2028, having previously played for Chelsea and Bayer 04 Leverkusen.
Arsenal's focus on contract extensions is not limited to Havertz, as a report from "The Times" indicates that the club is also seeking to extend the contracts of their captain Martin Ødegaard, goalkeeper David Raya, and midfielder Declan Rice.
