Ajax enters race to sign Moroccan talent pursued by top European clubs

Ajax have entered the race to sign young Moroccan midfielder Elias Høyer, who plays for FC Copenhagen. The 15-year-old talent is attracting increasing interest from several top European clubs, according to Danish newspaper 'Tipsbladet'.

Ajax are monitoring Hoira, but a move to Amsterdam seems uncertain due to strong interest from Borussia Dortmund, Manchester United, Arsenal, Chelsea, and Barcelona, who are closely following the development of the FC Copenhagen midfielder.

Hoira moved to FC Copenhagen from the club 'AIGF' earlier this year, successfully securing a contract with the club that extends until mid-2029.

The Danish newspaper revealed that the interest of European clubs in the player was not limited to remote observation, as scouts representing several of them traveled to Denmark to watch Elias and follow him closely.

The same source added that clubs from Spain and France are also monitoring the Moroccan player, indicating a growing interest in his services despite his young age.

On the international level, Hoira holds both Danish and Moroccan citizenship, and he possesses a Moroccan passport. He has recently received a call-up to represent the Moroccan U17 national team.

The young playmaker has previously worn the Moroccan national team jersey at under-16 level for the first time last summer, before being called up later to the under-17 category.
