European competition for Atlético Paranaense talent

Arthur Díaz, a 19-year-old defender for Club Athletico Paranaense, is attracting interest from several European clubs. Tottenham are keen on signing him, according to TEAMtalk.

Newcastle United are also tracking the Brazilian defender, alongside Nottingham Forest and Brentford, while clubs from Germany, Italy, Spain, and Portugal have shown interest in the player, including Leipzig, Bayer 04 Leverkusen, Atalanta, Como, Atlético, and SL Benfica.

Tottenham have sent scouts to monitor Díaz and held initial talks regarding him, but Atlético Paranaense rejected the first attempt and set the player's value at around €30 million.

Díaz is under contract with his club until December 2028, and Atlético Paranaense are not in a hurry to sell him, but they are willing to consider an offer that approaches the value they have set.

With increasing interest in the Brazilian defender, the Brazilian club is expecting offers for his transfer during the winter transfer window in January, while Tottenham are currently in a good position in the race to sign him.
