Tottenham monitor Matanovic to boost attack in January
Tottenham have been linked with a move for Igor Matanovic, the SC Freiburg forward, following his strong start to the season, amid the team's failure to secure a win in the Premier League after four rounds.
CaughtOffside reports that Roberto De Zerbi's team is considering signing the Croatian forward, especially given the lack of expected returns from his attacking options, primarily Dominic Solanke, who has struggled with injuries and inconsistent form.
Igor Matanovic has scored six goals and provided two assists in six matches this season, while his value could range between €35 million and €40 million if he transfers in January, with the possibility of doubling if he continues to score at the same rate.
Tottenham's interest in a striker comes as the club looks to address its problems, despite spending record amounts during the summer transfer window. Meanwhile, the future of De Zerbi remains in question if current results continue.
