Boro: I want to return to Spain, and neither Real Madrid nor FC Barcelona have expressed interest in signing me
Pedro Porro, the Tottenham full-back, spoke about the possibility of transferring to Barcelona or Real Madrid, confirming his desire to return to LaLiga and his ability to adapt to the playing style of either team.
In an interview with the program "El Larguero" on Cadena SER, the 27-year-old Spanish player expressed his intention to respect his contract with Tottenham, which runs until June 2031, but did not hide his desire to return to his homeland.
When asked whether his playing style suits Real Madrid or FC Barcelona more, he declined to choose between them out of respect for his current club, saying: "It would be unfair to talk about that out of respect for Tottenham, as I am contracted to them. I have always said that I would love to return to Spain, and that would make me very happy."
When asked about the team he could adapt to best, he added: "I leave that to others, as I consider myself a player capable of adapting to everything. I have adapted to the Premier League, and that is not easy at all, and I can adapt to anything."
In contrast, Boro has confirmed that FC Barcelona and Real Madrid have not made him a genuine offer or shown real interest yet, despite inquiring about his situation, saying: "There is interest, and they ask about your situation, but no one has told me that they want to sign me, and that is not real interest. Additionally, I did not want to listen."
