Tottenham will not receive bonus after Harry Kane wins Ballon d'Or
German journalist Florian Plettenberg reveals that Harry Kane's transfer contract from Tottenham to Bayern Munich does not include a clause granting the English club an additional financial bonus if the English striker wins the Ballon d'Or.
According to information from German network "Sky Sports", the clubs did not agree to include a special clause in the transfer deal for Kane in the summer of 2023, which was valued at around €100 million. This means that Bayern Munich will not be required to pay any additional amounts to Tottenham for this individual achievement.
Despite the absence of this clause, reports indicate that Harry Kane's transfer agreement includes additional financial bonuses linked to collective achievements, including winning domestic titles and lifting the UEFA Champions League.
These clauses are among the conditions that clubs resort to in some major transfer deals to ensure additional returns when players achieve exceptional accomplishments. However, Tottenham will not benefit financially from Harry Kane winning the Ballon d'Or in 2026, according to the German report.
