Yasser Rayan: My son is the best striker in Egypt

Yasser Rayan, former star of Al Ahly and the Egypt national team, has stated that his son Ahmed Yasser, striker for Bank El Ahly, is the best striker in Egypt at the moment, pointing out that his son has been unfairly treated in the Egypt national team.

Rayan stated in television comments on the program "El Clasico": "Ahmed Yasser is number 1 in Egypt right now, and this is based on the numbers, but because he plays for clubs that are not popular, social media does not highlight him much."

In response to a question about his stance if Zamalek SC approached Ahmed Yasser, he stated that Ahmed knows his interests best and is the one to make the decision, adding that if he received offers from Bank El Ahly and Zamalek SC, the priority would be for the red team.

He continued: "But if he receives an offer from Zamalek SC only, in the end, he is the one who makes the decision and he will choose the right place, and he loves the team that has stability."

He concluded his statements: "If my son transfers to Zamalek SC, I will not support him, because my allegiance is obviously to Bank El Ahly. Ahmed Yasser has been wronged at Bank El Ahly and in the Egypt national team, and he needed attention, as he has surpassed the 60-goal mark in the league."
