Alvarez out of Atlético squad for clash with Real Sociedad

Diego Simeone, Atlético's head coach, has announced his team's squad in preparation for the match against Real Sociedad today, Sunday, September 13, as part of the Spanish league, which will see the absence of Argentine Julián Alvarez alongside Pablo.

Julián Alvarez missed Atlético's trip to San Sebastián after leaving the team's final training session in Majadahonda before it ended, following some physical discomfort, according to 'Mundo Deportivo'.

Atlético have not issued an official medical report on the Argentine forward's condition, but they clarified that the player is suffering from 'muscle fatigue', which has prevented him from joining the squad for the match against Real Sociedad.

Pablo Barrios will miss out due to a muscle injury, while Norwegian Alexander Sørloth continues to be absent from the team due to a muscle injury sustained during pre-season preparations.

Atlético's squad list includes goalkeepers: Juan Musso, Jan Oblak, and Salvador Esquibel, and in defense: David Hanko, Marc Pobell, 'Cuti' Romero, Alejandro Grimaldo, Ruben Lo Norman, Jorge Dominguez, and Dani Martinez.

In midfield, there are Obeid Vargas, Rodrigo Mendoza, Jonny Cardoso, Koke Resurrección, Marcos Llorente, Morten Holmund, and Javi Castillo, while the attacking list includes Kang-In Lee, Alex Baena, Ademola Lookman, Jonathan David, Arnau Ortiz, and Giuliano Simeone.
