Opportunity for Messi and Ronaldo to play together for the first time

Carlos Tévez is preparing to hold a farewell match at La Bombonera, home of CA Boca Juniors, in December 2026 after a preliminary agreement with the club's management to host the event.

Tevez plans to invite around 60 friends, former teammates, and players who accompanied him during his career to a celebratory match aimed at honoring his football journey.

Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo are among the prominent names expected to attend. Tévez played alongside Messi for the Argentina national team, while he was teammates with Ronaldo at Manchester United between 2007 and 2009.

Several dates are currently being considered for the match, including December 12 or 13, or December 19 or 20, with the final date to be determined according to CA Boca Juniors' fixture schedule at the end of the season.

If Messi and Ronaldo play together, it could be a unique opportunity to see the two great stars on the same team for the first time, alongside a group of football stars linked to Tévez's career.
