Robert Lewandowski, the FC Barcelona forward, has confirmed that Real Madrid has become more powerful and fierce this season, pointing out that the new signings and the presence of coach José Mourinho could give the royal team a significant boost during the current season.

Robert Lewandowski stated in comments reported by Marca: "Real Madrid has become stronger and more aggressive this season thanks to the new signings and the presence of José Mourinho, and their mentality will be crucial after two years without trophies."

The Polish striker added: "Despite the strength of the opponent, I am always with Barcelona and I trust in their ability to compete strongly."

He added: "FC Barcelona is one of the main candidates to win the UEFA Champions League alongside only two or three other teams, and I hope they celebrate the title in the end."
