New development in Andreas Christensen's condition
FC Barcelona's training session on Sunday morning saw the return of Danish defender Andreas Christensen to partial participation with the group, marking a new step in his rehabilitation program to recover from injury.
According to the Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo", FC Barcelona resumed training at the Juan Gamper Sports City after their big win over Alavés by a score of 6-1 at Spotify Camp Nou.
Andreas Christensen, 30, participated in part of the team training as he continues to recover from an injury sustained on September 19 during the match against Sevilla.
Despite this step, the Danish defender is not expected to be available for the match against Aston Villa on Tuesday, and his chances of being fit for the Atlético match next Sunday seem slim.
The newspaper indicated that FC Barcelona prefers to monitor the player's condition over the week, with the club expecting a more accurate diagnosis on Thursday.
