Arnold prefers return to Liverpool over move to Bayern Munich

Alexander Arnold prefers a return to Liverpool over a move to Bayern Munich if he decides to leave Real Madrid at the end of the season, according to TEAMtalk.

The English full-back is considering his future with Real Madrid after falling down the pecking order at right-back under José Mourinho, behind Fede Valverde and Denzel Dumfries.

Although Real Madrid are not currently looking to offload him, they are prepared to consider a suitable offer if the player's situation does not improve in the coming period, after he joined the team from Liverpool in the summer of 2025 on a contract that runs until 2031.

The source indicated that Bayern Munich sees Arnold as an important element for its long-term project, and coach Vincent Kompany has had discussions with him to explain the expected role.

The player is inclined to return to Liverpool, the club he grew up with, if he decides to leave Real Madrid, despite Bayern Munich's ongoing interest in signing him.

Liverpool are considering the possibility of re-signing their former player, amid uncertainty within the club regarding the fans' reaction to his return, as they await developments regarding his situation with Real Madrid over the coming months.
