Official: RB Leipzig sign Neil El Aynaoui on loan

RB Leipzig have signed Moroccan midfielder Neil El Aynaoui on loan from AS Roma for the 2026/2027 season, with the German club holding an option to buy the player, who will wear the number 21 shirt.

RB Leipzig has clarified on its official website that Neil El Aynaoui, aged 25, has played 22 international matches with the Morocco national team and was a starter in all six of his country's matches during the FIFA World Cup 2026, in which the Moroccan team reached the quarter-finals.

Neil El Aynaoui began his career with Nancy, then moved to Lens, before joining AS Roma in the summer of 2025. He played 117 official matches with Nancy and Lens, scoring 13 goals and providing 6 assists, while he participated in 35 matches with AS Roma, scoring 2 goals and assisting 2.

Neil El Aynaoui expressed his happiness at moving to RB Leipzig, confirming that the team's style of play, based on intensity, dynamism, and possession, aligns with his capabilities. He also mentioned his desire to help the team achieve its goals.
