Officially: Zakaria Wahdi joins Hamburg
Hamburg have officially announced the signing of Moroccan international Zakaria Wahdi, coming from KRC Genk, to strengthen the team's right-back position.
Al-Wahidi, aged 24, underwent medical tests last Sunday before signing his contract with Hamburg, where he will wear the number 7 shirt.
During three seasons with KRC Genk, Al-Wahidi made 116 official appearances, scoring 20 goals and providing 13 assists, including 11 appearances in European competitions.
The one is the second Moroccan player in Hamburg's history, after compatriot Bilal Nadir who joined the team during the current summer transfer window.
Al-Wahidi said after his transfer: "I am very happy to join Hamburg, it is a great club in Germany with a rich history. I can't wait to play at Volkspark Stadium and make the fans happy, and I will always give my best for the club."
