Wydad Held to Goalless Draw by Nahdat Zemamra in Third Friendly Match

Wydad Casablanca concluded their third preparatory match in preparation for the 2026-2027 season, drawing 0-0 against Nahdet Zemamra. The match took place today, Saturday, at the club's training center, "Welniss," in Casablanca.

The match allowed Portuguese coach Paulo Sergio to continue testing his players and assess their readiness, as well as to experiment with a range of tactical options, given the significant changes that have occurred in Wydad during the summer transfer window.

The match saw the first appearance of new signing Sofiane Hitley in Wydad's colors during the preparation period, after joining the team from the Dutch league, where he participated in the third match of the preparatory group.

Wydad Casablanca's coaching staff has imposed a media blackout on the details of the match, which saw the absence of several players, including some who also did not participate in the second friendly match. Meanwhile, some players have yet to see any minutes since the start of the preparation program.

The red team started their series of preparatory matches against Ittihad Tanger, before facing DHJ, and then testing their readiness against Nahdat Zemamra. This program aims for Paulo Sergio to enhance the cohesion between the players who continued their journey with the team and the new arrivals.

Wydad Casablanca has strengthened its team during the summer transfer window with several players, including Yahya Jibran, Yahya Attiyat Allah, Ayman Hassouni, Hamza Janan Allah, Rashid Ghanimi, and Salah Eddine Kofi, in addition to Jordanian international Nizar Rashdan.

The Casablanca team continues its preparations for the new season, with eyes on the selections that the Portuguese coach will settle on, both in terms of the starting lineup and the players who will shape the squad, as the start of official competitions approaches.
