Ahmed Touba Joins Le Havre on Loan

Le Havre has officially announced the signing of Algerian defender Ahmed Touba, arriving on loan from Greek side Panathinaikos during the current transfer window.

Toubba, 28, is proficient in playing as a center-back as well as a left-back, and he could have joined Le Havre nearly 10 years ago when the late Christophe Reeve reached out to him while he was a player at Club Brugge in Belgium.

Toubba was born in the French city of Roubaix and developed in Belgium, where he played for Club Brugge, Lierse, and Mechelen, before experiencing stints at Pirin in Bulgaria, VVV-Venlo in the Netherlands, Başakşehir in Turkey, Lecce in Italy, and finally Panathinaikos in Greece last season.

Toubal has international experience with the Algerian national team, having previously represented Belgium at youth levels. He has also played several matches in European competitions and will wear the number 5 shirt with Le Havre.
