Press reports have revealed that Hicham Ait Mana has shown a strong desire to sign the Moroccan international Sofiane Boufal during the upcoming summer transfer window, in preparation for his inclusion in the Wydad Athletic Club.

According to the same sources, an official offer was made to the player, which includes signing a preliminary contract that guarantees his joining the red team at the start of the 2026-2027 season, as part of the club's efforts to strengthen its ranks with players who have international experience.

Boufal is currently on loan with the French club Le Havre until the end of the season, after ending his association with Saint-Gilloise, which he joined following a stint in the Qatari league with Al-Rayyan.

Boufal began his professional career in France with Angers, before moving to Lille where he caught attention with his outstanding performance, paving the way for him to experience the English Premier League with Southampton, and then moving to Celta Vigo in the Spanish league.

Boufal is considered one of the key players who contributed to the historic achievement of the Moroccan national team in the 2022 World Cup under the leadership of coach Walid Regragui, making him a potential signing with significant technical and marketing value if completed.
