Enrique: Happy to Face Chelsea in the Champions League, We Need to Improve Our Performance
Spanish coach Luis Enrique, the manager of Paris Saint-Germain, expressed his happiness with the UEFA Champions League draw, which placed his team against Chelsea in the Round of 16. He also spoke about the upcoming match against Le Havre in the French league, as well as the absence of Fabian Ruiz.
Enrique said in the press conference before the Le Havre match: "As always, I am very happy with the Champions League draw. It will be exciting to play against Chelsea, one of the best teams in England."
He added, "We know them well, but there will be no sense of revenge because this is a different tournament."
The Spanish coach continued his discussion about his team's performance: "We recognize that we need to improve our performance, but I have seen some positive signs, which makes me optimistic about the way we have been able to handle the various problems and circumstances we have faced."
Regarding the match against Le Havre, he said: "Le Havre's situation now is different from what it was in the past. They are comfortably positioned in the French league standings. They have become a different team now because they rely on a large number of midfielders. Our away matches against Le Havre have never been easy, and I specifically remember our match against them last year."
Enrique concluded his remarks by discussing the absence of Fabian Ruiz, saying: "There are different types of injuries, it's not easy, but this is the reality, and we have to adapt to it. It's a real problem for us when key players like Fabian are absent due to injury, but we hope he returns to us as soon as possible."
