Al-Shabab Close to Signing Senegalese Keeper Mory Diaw

Al-Shabab is nearing the completion of its contract with Senegalese goalkeeper Mory Diaw, who currently plays for Le Havre in France, after both parties reached a preliminary agreement regarding the player's transfer during the current transfer window.

According to "Foot Mercato", Al Shabab's management has agreed with Le Havre officials on the transfer of Diaw, while negotiations are currently ongoing to finalize the remaining details before the official announcement.

The Senegalese goalkeeper is 33 years old and started the current season with Le Havre outside the starting lineup, as the coaching staff relied on Congolese Lionel Mbassi during the opening match against Monaco.

Al-Shabab's move to acquire Diaw comes after an impressive season from the goalkeeper with Le Havre, alongside his international presence with the Senegal national team during the 2026 World Cup.

Diaw has been given the opportunity to represent the Teranga Lions at the World Cup, following the injury of Edouard Mendy, the Al Ahly goalkeeper, making him part of Senegal's plans for the tournament.

Al-Shabab hopes that the new signing will provide a strong addition to the goalkeeper position, especially with the team's need to bolster their squad during this period, following a tough start to the season.

Al-Shabab has exited the King Cup at the Round of 32, while they have only secured one point during the first two rounds of the Roshn Pro League.
