Sohib Driouech Joins Celta Vigo

Celta Vigo has announced that they have reached an agreement with Dutch club PSV Eindhoven to sign Moroccan winger Souhaib Driouich, who has signed a four-year contract, keeping him with the sky-blue team until the summer of 2030.

Driouich is 24 years old and primarily plays as a right winger, although he is also capable of operating on the left flank.

He is characterized by speed, dribbling, and the ability to create danger in the attacking third, especially in one-on-one situations, changing pace, and exploiting spaces behind opponents' defenses.

Celta sees that the player's characteristics align significantly with coach Claudio Giraldo's ideas, as he is expected to provide the team with more depth, attacking options, and the ability to create differences in the final third.

Last season with PSV Eindhoven, Drewysh participated in 40 matches, scoring 9 goals and providing 8 assists. He also has experience in the UEFA Champions League, having played 12 matches in the competition, where he scored 4 goals and assisted 2.

He shone in last season's European campaign against Liverpool, scoring twice and earning Man of the Match.

Driouech was born in the Dutch city of Haarlem and started his professional career with Excelsior Rotterdam, before playing for Heerenveen and then moving to PSV. He has also represented the Moroccan national team at the under-23 level.

His transfer to Celta Vigo marks his first experience outside of the Netherlands, in a new step where he hopes to continue his development and prove himself in La Liga.
