Official: Al Ahli Announces Departure of Mathieu Dams to Club Brugge

Al Ahli Saudi Club has agreed to sell the remaining duration of first-team player Matteo Dams' contract to Belgian side Club Brugge, thus concluding the player's journey with Al Ahli after his time wearing the team's jersey.

Dams has participated with Al Ahli in several local and continental competitions in recent times, and was part of the squad that clinched the AFC Champions League title for the 2025-2026 season, alongside winning the Saudi Super Cup in 2025.

Al Ahly SC expressed its gratitude to Matteo Dams in a statement on its website, thanking him for the time he spent with the team and wishing him success in his next step with Belgian club Club Brugge.

The 22-year-old player joined Al Ahly in 2025 from PSV for €9 million, and his contract was set to expire in the summer of 2029.
