Al-Zawraa Secures Signing of Mohamed Sherif

Al-Zawraa has announced the official signing of Egyptian striker Mohamed Sherif from Al Ahly, to represent the club in the upcoming season of the Iraqi Premier League as well as the Gulf Clubs Championship.

The deal has been finalized as a one-season loan, following intensive negotiations led by the club's management over the past few days.

According to sources within the club, Al-Zawraa has entered the race to sign Sharif after Al-Shorta was considered the frontrunner for his signature. However, the Blue Waves have successfully convinced the player to join their ranks.

The management confirmed that Sharif does not oppose representing Al-Zawraa, and they have obtained the approval of Al-Ahly's administration to complete the loan process. They indicated that matters progressed well, leading to a final agreement and the signing of the contract.

Mohamed Sherif has significant experience at both the local and continental levels with Al Ahly, having previously won numerous titles, alongside his appearances with the Egyptian national team.

Al-Zawraa hopes that the player will provide a strong offensive addition to the team, especially given the need for a direct striker capable of deciding matches and making a difference.

With this signing, Al-Zawraa has strengthened its attack with one of the most notable Arab names, reflecting the ambitions of the team to return strongly to the competition for the league title this season.
